ETA: Givebutter support said: "In the meantime, a possible workaround is to enhance the ticket description by adding an image with more details to it. This can help draw more attention to the ticket option and naturally push the donation slide button lower, making the ticket more prominent."
I'm honestly surprised this isn't a higher priority. It's a major UX design issue, in my opinion. We have 20+ events per year set up through Givebutter, and at least once per event there is someone who accidentally selects "No thanks, I'd just like to donate" instead of registering for a ticket. The button for "No thanks" is twice as large, bolder, AND more colorful-- of course someone on autopilot would select that instead of the tiny ticket amount dropdown! I'm getting ready for a big event on Sunday, and of 35 transactions, I've already found it happened 3 times- and I'm not even halfway through the list! I have to remember to carefully cross-check the transactions vs. tickets tab to catch this, then re-register the person and send them a follow-up email. It's very time-consuming for something that shouldn't even be an issue to begin with. Please give us the option to remove this, or at least redesign the ticketing page to make it more user friendly!

Ashlie Flood I couldn't agree with this comment anymore. We need this option to remove this button! This is making me look to other platforms for my giving and event options.

We would love to have the ability to customize the "donate" button and create new one - ticket purchasers should be allowed to BOTH buy a ticket AND make a donation at the same time. In addition, our organization hosts a music event and were able to take advance tips for the artists at ticket purchase with EventBrite. This was a big source of additional income for the rising star artists who perform for us. We would love to have this feature in GiveButter as well...

We are running into this right now. We would like to change this to, I'd prefer to support or be an underwriter. Or at least take away the No thanks component. This would be a great feature.

We often host artist groups and handle the ticketing for continuity. The option to donate has been wildly helpful in using Givebutter, but in this instance it could be confusing to someone buying a ticket and thinking the donation goes to the group and not our organization.
It would also be helpful to be able to have the characters allowed be more than 18 when customizing the donate button text.
I would suggest using wording like "Add a donation to your purchase" instead of using the slightly negative language of "No thanks, I'd just like to donate" which implies they don't want to buy a ticket. I know they can still buy a ticket after donating, but the least amount of confusing/off-putting the better with customers.

Yes! I'd also like the ability to remove the "additional donation" option on specific ticket types... I find it really offputting when using ticketing for sponsorship processing to say, "Hey thanks, you're giving us $5,000... but do you want to donate some more, too?"

I agree with those who would like to complete remove this button. Someone was trying to purchase tickets and the wording of "no thanks, I'd rather donate" kind of threw him off. He said, "It was like I was checking out of Amazon, and they said, 'Just kidding. You can't get those items or the items are free if you make a donation.'"

I agree that it's location is enough to confuse a user, especially when this is embedded on a website. I'd love a way to remove it completely.

I'd really like the option to disable this feature altogether. When I'm setting up an event, I don't want to confuse attendees by giving them an option to accidentally bypass purchasing a ticket or asking for more money on top of the ticket. We've had attendees complain about this to us with our previous events so just having an option to disable custom donations completely would smooth out the ticketing process for us a lot.

This would be very helpful, as inexperienced online donors don't know what to do when they read it. Especially when they first moved through a Buy Your Tickets button. It really just needs to be a donate button. Thank you!
