Add the ability for admins to set the Fair Market Value of tickets and items, so that donors can take the remainder of their donation as a tax deduction.

This is seriously important. The guests receive an automated receipt for the full amount they paid which means they can turn in that receipt in with their taxes and deductible the whole amount which is NOT correct. This means as a nonprofit we are currently issuing inaccurate receipts. Hope you can expedite this feature so we can issue accurate receipts! THANKS!

This is HUGELY important. Our current event receipts are unlawful!!! THANKS!

That is great news. This feature will be a game changer for us and I would assume several other non-profits doing more than just straight donations. Please advise when it is in place. Thank you!

We are currently using another system and I love everything I have seen with Givebutter and all of its features. However, the inability to support FMV is the one hard issue we can not overcome, and unable to move our non-profit over with this issue outstanding. I don't want to dictate your roadmap but if this is being considered, do you have an ETA for its implementation?

What does flagged PLANNED (3/28/2022) then re-flagged OPEN (10/6/2022) mean for this item?
Holly Lewis
Can anyone using GiveButter and Bloomerang suggest a workaround for this? I am selling tickets to our annual fundraiser, a portion of which is tax deductible, and I am also setting up an auction. All I can think of now is having the GiveButter receipt state that a detailed receipt will be sent in a separate email. Then I will manually adjust the donation vs the non-deductible portion in Bloomerang and send the purchaser an email from Bloomerang. That's a lot of work.

Holly Lewis: I feel your pain. I included a statement in the automatically generated GIvebutter EMail receipt that "$25 of the $50 event ticket is considered a donation." Good luck!

Holly Lewis: This is how we're doing this for events right now, too... we did add language in our receipt that $xx for tickets is NOT tax-deductible but any donations over and above the ticket amount is.

Jesse Saldana: This request went from PLANNED on 3/28/2022 to OPEN on 10/6/2022. What does this change in status mean to this request? Is there another avenue through which users like me can advocate for features/enhancements like this one?
Jesse Saldana
Todd Orner: Hey Todd, thanks for the follow up. We did some re-organization in the fall to more accurately reflect our roadmap. This remains the best avenue for advocating for features/enhancements. We keep a very close eye on upvotes and comments, even if it might take some time to get a request on the roadmap.
The good news for this feature is that it's on the roadmap for Q2 of this year.

Jesse Saldana: Thank you!

Yes, we need this feature as well and would like for it to work with our Bloomerang Integration. Most events have a non-deductible tax portion and for our donor end of year tax statements to be most accurate, we need this portion named accurately in event ticket purchases.

Once this is implemented, the value that can be deducted should be included in the emailed receipt to the purchaser - great feature idea!
