As pointed out below, it would also be very helpful to be able to customize the receipt subject line, include merge codes, customize the share buttons to choose what social media and include more, and overall have a bit more flexibility in the design.

For us it is 100% imperative that we be able to customize what social media is linked at the bottom. Our particular problem is with having x listed which provides free advertising to musk and his businesses. As an organization founded and led by communities in the Amazon, our founding values are equality, transparency, and collaboration. These values are antithetical to those espoused by musk. in addition, his openly stated white supremacist views cause direct harm to our founding communities. In an ideal world, we would like to be able to choose which social media companies are listed including sites like TIkTok, SnapChat, BlueSky, IG, etc. We are moving away from Meta as well as X, But In the very least we need to not have X there, even if that means not having any share buttons. (thought the share buttons would be super helpful)

One option might be to have the share buttons automatically be the ones we enter in our general social media settings for our account?

Would love to have customizable ability to change the email they get and what's listed as well.

My interest is having the ability to change the receipt subject. Right now, the recipient will think the email is simply a receipt for the just-made donation due to the subject. I think people may not open a receipt because they think they know what information is in that email since they just made the donation. However, if I could modify that subject to something like "Thanks for Your Generous Donation - Receipt info included", it would come across as more of a thank you that also includes receipt info.

Thank you for adding in kind donations as an option. However, there is no customization for the receipt right now - rendering it almost useless. Most donors that make in kind donations give several things at once, so providing details is necessary. In this case, I was trying to record a $100 gift of handmade greeting cards plus postage. I will record the total in Givebutter and use Google Docs to actually write the acknowledgement.

From the customer: If there was a way to customize the receipt at the transaction level, or if there could be 2 options of receipts/thank you messages sent when entering offline gifts in then we could have one with tax deductible information in it (for regular donations) and one with no tax deductible wording (for DAF donations or other ones that we just want to send a thank you email acknowledgment to, not a receipt.

Ability to indicate in- kind donations differently than cash donations. So it's clear on receipts/tax letters what the donation was for.
