We’d love to see a feature set to help manage annual memberships, especially for organizations like ours that serve families and offer multiple services under one umbrella. Here’s a high-level outline of what we’re looking for:

Key Capabilities:

Household-Level Management

Allow one account to manage details for an entire household (e.g., parents and children).

Capture household contact information, members, and relevant demographics.

Service Selection

Enable users to select from a list of services (e.g., language classes, cultural programs, youth groups).

Show applicable dues per service, ideally based on household members.

Annual Dues & Recurring Payments

Allow families to pay their annual membership fees and associated service dues.

Support recurring payments (annually or monthly) with reminders and auto-renew options.

Central Dashboard

A dashboard for admins to view member status, payments, renewals, and service selections.

Option to export data for reporting and communication purposes.

We believe these features would greatly enhance Givebutter’s value for nonprofits and community centers that rely on household memberships and program-based enrollment.

Selling and collecting funds for membership is vital to our organization. Disappointing that a simple Start and End Date for Membership is not included. Is there any plan to add this to the site?

We are using givebutter for our choir and I have a few ideas that will help us all in the long run and can make givebutter really stand apart for clubs like ours, specifically if they develop a clear and easy to manage membership directory feature where you can A: Register members and collect important data (like dates of birth) as well as collecting annual Membership Dues. B: Manage active club/organization members in it's own dashboard area. C: Offer a promo code to be used in forms specifically for discounted memberships.

That would be amazing! Especially if we can add it to a “wallet” on our phones.

I would love to see membership capabilities and better form handling. Having the ability to sort by active/inactive memberships is key.
