Looks like this issue goes back to 2020. What will it take to get is resolved?

Really need to drop requirement for phone # and email for free transactions. My event is for members that I already have their information. Just need name information.

Adding my voice to the crowd clamoring for this fix. Our event tickets are always free, and having to submit their address turns off my attendees.

I would really like to see this happen. I just switched over to GiveButter and am hosting 4 free events this summer (where we ask for donations at the event, not before). When I reach out to some people directly who haven't RSVPed they said the form was too long and more complicated than before (our old CRM). Jordan Patrick, is there a timeline for this update? Thanks a heap!

Agreed that this deters people from registering for free events - makes them feel like they're being hooked into paying for something. Getting rid of the Billing Info (or changing the name to "Contact Info" or giving the option of making it required or not) would be very helpful.

I'm in the same situation as Elizabeth. This seems to deter event registrations for us.

Just checking to see if this issue is being remedied? We're hosting a virtual event and would love to use Givebutter as the event hub where they can RSVP, get the link and make donations. I tried to set it up as a free ticket but even without requiring a credit card it was still asking for billing information which I think will deter our donors. Is there a timeline for when this might be updated?

Even with Require Billing Info disabled, there's still a red asterisk that implies the billing info is required. It would be great if that whole section didn't appear for free tickets.
