Problem:
Currently, when organizers send a payment request for a Buy Now item, the email automatically includes “Congratulations for winning.” This wording can be misleading in cases where the donor did not actually win anything, such as paddle raises, fund-a-need donations, raffle ticket purchases, or other contributions recorded during in-person events.
Why This Matters:
Many organizations use Buy Now items as a way to record paddle raise amounts or other event-related contributions. The default “winning” language can confuse donors and make them think they won an auction item or raffle.
Suggested Solution:
Allow organizers to customize the email wording when sending payment requests for Buy Now items, or provide alternative templates that better reflect contributions rather than auction wins.
