I visit and participate in many auction sites. I think this feature is a valuable part of auctions. It increases the amount that an organization can raise and prevents bidders from waiting until the last second to bid and 'steal' an item. I think 30 seconds or a minute tops is all it needs to be. If it was 5 minutes, the auction could end up lasting for hours.

Putting together an auction and seriously considering another platform simply for this feature.

Would very much appreciate this feature -- my last auction software had it and we definitely raised more money this way. Plus, not encouraging "snipers" is important to me to keep things charitably-focused, rather than trying to sneakily get a bargain.
