An option for a separate field for donor is really important and something Givebutter should add if they can. Users want to be able to pull a list of items and take the item donors out in order to properly recognize/thank them.

Agree - I was shocked when inputting items that there is no field for "Donor" or "Donated by". Instead I left it in the item description.
Ideally, when adding as a transaction, you could choose "auction donation" and assign it to a Contact -> which would then show up automatically as the Item Donor. However, as a first step I'd gladly just take a blank "Item Donated by" field when creating an auction item.

Yes, this option is PRIMARY for our donors giving. We also need the ability to track the field/item(s) for this type of donation/giving per month, quarter, or yearly.
