We also desperately need this ASAP! We want to use GiveButter for our event where primarily it is auction, raffle and paddle raising - but I can't even see how to run this event efficiently if bidder registration is not automatic with ticket purchase. Why is it not automatic? The tickets have a number associated but it's not the bidder number - how confusing is this? So we need to be able to assign bidder numbers to ticket holders manually then. It seems that's the only way we can log what they purchased. Happy to do it this manually. Just please make it possible!

Please add the Manual entryoption for registering bidders. Admin must be able to manually enter registration information for a bidder as well as credit card information. Also the ability to update credit card information. "Register to bid" link did not work for many people, and we had to write down bidder information, then invoice after the event and wait for payments.

We are reviewing how using Give Butter went at our and this is the first time we used it. An iportant issue that continues to rise with our committee is the ability to either manually register bidders, but even better would be the option to automatically register people as bidders when they purchase a ticket for a campaign event that has an auction associated with it. Is this being planned? As others have said, this comment is marked as in progress but has been for a while. I would like to be able toassure our committee that Give Butter is working on this very needed feature.

A decent alternative could be a text/SMS that a user simply clicks to complete registration instead of setting a password, then clicking on an email, and then clicking a link and/or filling in a code. If people haven't pre-registered, the line for any large events will be held up by this process.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE make this possible. Currently, we must choose between a smooth and simple checkout for an auction that excludes older guests who do not utilize email (nobody wants to spend time at an event creating an email address solely for the purpose of creating a bidder profile, or navigating between multiple apps to check email for a verification code!), or an inclusive auction that will require staff to manually calculate totals for bidders who win multiple packages and require winners to wait for an available staff member to accept payment after the auction ends.

Even the option for guests to register using a phone number where they can reply to a text verification would be helpful.

I couldn't agree more with the sentiments here. For GiveButter users that have older-generation donors (not tech savvy) there is no way to manually add bidders. That is unfortunate because it rules out completely anyone that cannot complete online registration.

I see this has been "in progress" since March of 2024. Can we please receive an update. This is crucial for us or we will have to (again) use a different platform than Givebutter for auctions - and that is also a huge pain!
