Collect Donor Information Without Requiring a Donation/Transaction

It would be helpful to have the option to collect donor or supporter information without requiring a donation or transaction. This feature would allow organizations to build their donor database, capture custom fields, and link information to contact records, even if the supporter isn’t making and donation or transaction.

Is this something that could be done via the email signup widget? Granted, it's currently limited to First&Last Name, Email & Phone (optional), so additional custom fields would make this even better.

Hi Kara! You're correct that we offer a partial solution for this today with our Signup Widget. Currently, our team is exploring both:
- adding custom fields to the sign up widget (as you mention)
- creating dedicated landing pages for donor-facing forms.

Agree! I can input a donors, however to pull any reports requires the use of "tags" and then sometimes we still have issues.

Yes, we initially had a paper signin sheet, then we purchased a kiosk and programmed an iPad to collect, but either option requires a person to transfer the data to GB. Def need this!

Agree - and this may be a duplicate for several other highly voted items that talk about needing forms that can capture information into contact records without a donation
