Ability to select which fields and in which order to export prior to exporting. Ideally, with the option to set a default for the export.

Hi everyone,
You can now customize which columns you want to export on Transactions, Contacts, Tickets, Recurring plans, and Pledges.
When exporting, click the Columns dropdown and then select Custom.

Kevin Replinger This is not a new feature on Transactions exports. Choosing custom fields to export is great, but selecting the same fields every time we export is time consuming. Will there be a way to select custom fields for export and then save as a default set for future exports?

Abby Carden, yes! That is what I asked months ago, as having to select custom columns every single time I do an export is exhausting. I want to keep the same selected columns that I select frequently.

Just to boost the signal, making it so the donations made are separated from the tickets purchased. I just had to go through 250+ transactions one by one to find where people had made donations with their ticket purchases so I could send them appropriate acknowledgements.

H. Caitlin Corbitt If you select "Export transactions with item breakdown" -> All Columns, then column BQ ("Item Description") will list all of the donations. You can do a bit of Excel wizardry to filter them and separate them out from ticket expenses. It's not ideal, but it at least makes it a bit easier than going through everything one-by-one. I agree that GB should have more options to make this info easier to parse, but I hope this is a helpful stop-gap solution in the meantime!

All the "event types" should be possible to pick in the filter under reports. Now its just possible to pick "Email", "Phone Call" and "Note".
It should be possible to display the date of activity as a column in the reports, so that it is easy to create reports on how many (specific) activities were carried out in a defined period of time. This enables employees to document their work in the system in a comprehensible way and makes it easy to evaluate what ultimately leads to success.

On the transactions export we need to be able to select or have a field for tickets so we know if they ordered a ticket for an in-person event. Right now we need to do an export comparison of the two different exports because that field is missing from the transactions export. Same on the tickets export - we do not know if they made a donation because that field is missing from that export. This is causing extra work to reconcile because we don't know if donors attended the event.

This is needed on the tickets export also. We need the ability to add the mailing address field so that we can print labels to mail thank you to specific campaign event attendees only even if the attendee did not make a transaction (donation).

Hi everyone,
We've made some improvements to the Transaction export to include additional fields. Our team is continuing work on improvements to other exports across Givebutter, but please don't hesitate to share feedback about the initial updates to the Transactions export.
Thanks!

Some functionality that could improve exports:
- Choose date range (for transactions)
- CSV has a descriptive name instead of hash
