This is such basic functionality that I'm embarrassed to have to tell my team that there is no way to create a filter that shows, for example, contacts who have not yet contributed to a particular campaign. Is this really true, or am I missing something? I can't use 0 contributions because there are other campaigns they may have contributed to.

I voted for this back in January but since I'm really feeling the lack of this again today, I'm commenting in hopes that will get some extra attention!

Following up on my previous note, I was going to give the new Mailing service a try... to promote an event in Sacramento. But there's no way, that I can see, to filter the list for people who haven't bought a ticket. I'd also want to include only people who live near Sacramento.

Today I tried to start an SMS to promote one of our events. I want to target only those who have NOT purchased a ticket to that particular event -- but I can't seem to do that with the current filters.

This would be a really helpful feature (and to me seems to be a basic feature that should have been included from the start). We really need the ability to create complex filters that exclude contacts based on any attribute.

Yes, I hope to send a more detailed email to one group and then a simpler email to everyone else - but for the simpler email I need to exclude the first group.

Yes! I don't want Year End Summaries for those who only got a free ticket to an event.

This is just what I was wishing for. I want to filter by everyone who has not donated to the current campaign, regardless of whether they donated to some other campaign or not. So having a “not” option would be helpful. Actually, a more comprehensive set of operators for filters would be even better (AND, OR, NOR, etc.)

Gregory Lawless: Yes! Another Boolean fan here :-)
