Support Fediverse & Open Social Web URLs in Social Account Fields
The current social account fields only support a fixed list of platforms. There’s a growing ecosystem called the open social web (Fediverse)—including Mastodon, Pixelfed, PeerTube, Lemmy, Ghost, WordPress, and others—where organizations host their own social presence. Allowing custom or Fediverse-compatible social URLs would better support modern, decentralized social networks and reflect how many organizations connect with their communities today.
