Users are forced to delete or archive the custom field if they want to edit the details for the CF, since the options are grayed out. It will be helpful to campaign owners if they can edit the options without having to delete/archive the CF itself.

Use Case: Using a Dropdown (single-select) contact custom field to store optional contact-specific information, such as a “Sponsor For” value. Most contacts may not need a value in this field, and for those contacts, the field should remain blank so that merge field defaults can apply correctly in communications. Currently, once a dropdown value is selected for a contact, there is no way to remove it and return the field to a truly blank state. Users can create a placeholder option like “-” or “N/A,” but this is treated as an actual value. As a result, when the custom field is used as a merge tag, the placeholder appears in the communication instead of allowing the merge field default value to populate.

Use case scenario: "Ask for birthdates, specifically month and day so we can honor them on their birthday when they make a donation"

So a question only appears if someone answers the previous question a certain way - i.e. "Do you want a T-shirt?" If they answer yes, your question "T-shirt size" appears. If they answer no, that question does not appear.

Show custom fields based on the donation amount a person chose.

Add the option to reorder or sort contact custom fields so users can control the display order, rather than relying on the current automatic ordering based on creation date.

Currently, custom fields in the contacts CRM can only be filtered using “includes” or “excludes” conditions, which requires knowing the exact values stored in the field. It would be helpful to add filters such as “is present / has value” and “is not present / empty.” This would allow users to easily segment and export contacts based on whether a custom field has been filled out, without needing to know or specify the field’s exact values.

I want to easily view custom field information, such as t-shirt sizes, directly in the dashboard without having to export reports. Currently, I have to navigate through multiple steps to see this information, which is inconvenient. It would be great to have a more straightforward way to access these details within the app or website.

When adding a custom field checkbox that links to a disclaimer or terms of service agreement, requiring donors to click on the link before being allowed to check the box that notes they have read and agree.
